Hello my fellow weightlifting friends.

What do you guys listen to when you guys train?

Do you have a favorite genre of music to train to?

Here at the gym, whoever gets to the IPAD first gets to pick the music that the rest of the gym trains to.

Sometimes it's gangster rap music from the 90s or some rock or metal songs with some sick guitar riffs. Sometimes it's epic movie scores from Gladiator or The Dark Knight. Sometimes it's reggae. All great in my opinion.

Being that I'm 41 this year, I grew up in during the 80s and 90s. The 90s were awesome and had a lot of great music. Nowadays, it's hard to find stuff I like. There are some, however the majority of it are songs I'd just hit the skip button.

But I'm sure every older generation says the same thing bout the new generation. So take it for what it's worth.

A while back, I decided to compile a list of my favorite songs. This playlist ended up being over 24 hours long.

Most of it is 90s hip hop, rock/alternative and reggae.

I just wanted to share the playlist   HERE  so that those of you who may be interested can hop on and vibe out with us.

So if you're looking for a well curated playlist for training and you are familiar with music from the 90s and early 2000s, this playlist will set the vibes for you. Great playlist to sing along to as well for car rides.

Sidenote: my personal favorite song for competition days is "The Fire" by The Roots featuring John Legend. Here's a link to the music video:

Alright that's it for this one. Have a great rest of your day.
